Elyse Tse, the New Zealand player ranked around WTA No. 900 with recent senior ITF experience on multiple surfaces, faces 17-year-old Spanish junior Carla Guerrero Calvo in the round of 32 of the W15 Ontinyent on outdoor clay. Tse brings more professional match play and a stronger overall record at this level, while Guerrero Calvo, who holds a junior ITF ranking near 500 and limited senior results, benefits from local knowledge and clay-court familiarity in her home country. No prior head-to-head exists between the two, and neither has reported injuries or withdrawals ahead of the match. The clay surface and tournament conditions favor consistent baseline play, with recent form and ranking edges positioning Tse as the consensus favorite among traders.
