Cleveland Guardians visit the Houston Astros for a three-game series at Daikin Park beginning June 19, with the visitors holding a stronger 37-33 record compared to Houston’s 33-39 mark in the AL West. José Ramírez’s recent left hamate fracture and subsequent surgery will sideline Cleveland’s All-Star third baseman for five to seven weeks, thinning an already thin lineup. Houston continues to manage multiple pitching injuries, including Hunter Brown’s shoulder strain and Ronel Blanco’s long-term UCL recovery, which have strained the rotation depth entering the series. Recent form shows both clubs on modest winning streaks, though the Astros’ home performance and bullpen usage could influence outcomes in a matchup featuring probable starters like Guardians right-hander Cantillo against Astros options such as Burrows. Weather in Houston remains warm, with no postponement concerns noted.
