The Chicago Cubs, sitting third in the NL Central at approximately 38-35, host the last-place Colorado Rockies (27-46 in the NL West) at Wrigley Field on June 16. The Cubs enter with strong recent form, including a 5-4 walk-off victory on June 15 fueled by Pete Crow-Armstrong’s cycle—the first of the season—and multiple walk-off wins this year. Chicago’s home advantage and depth contrast with Colorado’s depleted roster, which features significant injuries to outfielders Brenton Doyle, Jordan Beck, and Mickey Moniak, plus multiple starters on the IL. Probable pitching matchups and the Rockies’ road struggles further shape the matchup dynamics in this interleague series.
