The St. Louis Cardinals (38-31) hold a clear edge in the upcoming interleague series at Kauffman Stadium, sitting second in the NL Central with a .551 winning percentage while the Kansas City Royals (29-43) languish last in the AL Central. Recent roster health remains a factor, with Cardinals reliever Ryan Fernandez on the 15-day IL and starter depth limited by longer absences, while Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino and starter Kris Bubic face extended timelines. The clubs split their May I-70 Series, but the Cardinals’ stronger overall form, better run differential, and head-to-head trends in recent seasons shape trader consensus around the higher implied probability for St. Louis outcomes. Home-field dynamics at Kauffman and any late pitching adjustments could still influence individual game resolution.
