Arsenal enter the 2026-27 Premier League campaign as defending champions after clinching the 2025-26 title on 85 points, with recent supercomputer models projecting them to retain the crown and secure another top-five finish amid strong early results. Manchester City, despite Pep Guardiola’s departure and major roster turnover including the arrival of Elliot Anderson, remain the primary challengers based on historical depth and attacking talent. Manchester United’s third-place finish last season and continued midfield reinforcements position them as improved contenders, while Liverpool under new manager Andoni Iraola and Chelsea under Xabi Alonso seek to rebound through substantial summer spending on players like Morgan Rogers. Key factors include fixture congestion from European commitments, post-World Cup squad management, and how quickly new tactical systems bed in across the top clubs.
