Both teams enter the 2026 campaign as NFC East contenders with balanced rosters, creating tight implied probabilities around a potential series split. The Eagles open at home in Week 1 against the Commanders before hosting the return matchup in Week 8, giving Philadelphia familiar divisional advantages in one contest while Washington benefits from home-field momentum and extra preparation time after its bye. Recent form from the prior season shows the Commanders capable of upsets, including a Week 18 victory over a resting Eagles squad, while Philadelphia’s established offensive core led by Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley remains a benchmark. Training-camp developments, injury reports, and offensive-line health will likely drive any near-term shifts in trader sentiment ahead of the September kickoff.
