Big John and Paige Spiranac enter the Polymarket Classic 2v2 match-play scramble holding a slim 58.5% implied probability edge over JR Smith and Claire Hogle. Spiranac’s established golf pedigree, consistent ball-striking, and competitive experience provide the team’s primary advantage in a scramble format that rewards reliable iron play and short-game execution. Big John’s local course knowledge and steady form further strengthen their pairing. Smith, transitioning from NBA play to competitive golf, brings athleticism but limited recent tournament results at this level, while Hogle’s role remains secondary. Traders price the matchup as competitive yet tilted toward the more experienced golf-focused duo ahead of the August 1 start in Tampa.
