Spain's status as 2026 World Cup winners and defending European champions underpins their narrow lead in the Euro 2028 market, powered by a deep squad featuring emerging talents such as Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams alongside proven midfield control. France sits close behind on the strength of consistent Nations League and World Cup performances, with a talented roster and potential managerial continuity or change adding to their credentials. England trails slightly but benefits from home-soil hosting across UK and Irish venues, recent third-place World Cup form, and stability under Thomas Tuchel as qualifying looms from March 2027. The tight clustering among the top three reflects broad parity across elite European sides, where squad depth, recent international results, and the absence of dominant outliers keep implied probabilities bunched heading into the December 2026 qualifying draw.
