Joe Pyfer’s emphatic second-round TKO of Israel Adesanya in March 2026 vaulted the middleweight into title contention, yet his planned August matchup against Caio Borralho collapsed due to the Brazilian’s rib injury. That cancellation has left multiple ranked contenders—Dricus du Plessis, Nassourdine Imavov, Borralho, Anthony Hernandez, and Brendan Allen—positioned for the next high-profile booking. Recent form, prior head-to-head results such as Imavov’s decision win over Borralho, and the division’s fluid top-five landscape have kept implied probabilities tightly clustered, as traders weigh each fighter’s momentum, availability, and stylistic appeal against Pyfer’s power and recent finishing streak without a confirmed UFC return date.
