Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” leads the VMA Best Country market at a dominant 71% implied probability thanks to its record-shattering run atop the Billboard Hot 100, where it has spent 22 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 and earned Song of the Summer honors. The track’s crossover appeal, viral TikTok traction, and strong critical reception have translated into broad voter momentum ahead of the September 27 ceremony. The other nominees—including Tucker Wetmore’s “Brunette,” Stella Lefty’s “Boston,” Luke Combs’ “Back in the Saddle,” Kacey Musgraves’ “Dry Spell,” Lainey Wilson’s “Somewhere Over Laredo,” and Shaboozey’s “Cowgirl”—sit far behind, reflecting the competitive gap created by Langley’s sustained chart supremacy and industry narrative as country’s breakout star.
