This market will resolve to "Yes" if the team winning 1st place at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026, currently scheduled for October 3 to October 17, 2026, is a Western team. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. If the winner of the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026 is not determined by October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizers, TJ Sports and Huya. However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/Demacia_Cup_Global_Invitational/2026) may also be used.Eastern regional depth underpins the 85.5% implied probability against a Western winner at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026. The 12-team field includes three LPL and three LCK sides (fifth through seventh in their standings) alongside two each from the LEC and LCS, plus single representatives from the LCP and CBLOL, all drawn from squads that missed Worlds 2026 qualification. LPL and LCK mid-tier rosters have historically maintained superior macro execution, individual mechanics, and drafting consistency against Western opposition in international competition, even when fielded outside peak lineups. The offline knockout bracket in Beijing adds home-environment and travel disadvantages for LEC and LCS participants. Recent MSI 2026 regional placements that determined slot allocation further reflect Eastern competitive edges at this level of play.
