With the Baltimore Orioles (around 9-7, leading AL East) visiting Kansas City Royals (7-10, mid-AL Central) for a three-game series at Kauffman Stadium starting April 20, trader consensus reflects a pitcher's duel in the opener featuring Kyle Bradish versus Seth Lugo amid even early-season form. Orioles' momentum from rallying past the Giants on April 13 has been tempered by mounting injuries: Adley Rutschman (ankle, 10-day IL), Ryan Mountcastle (foot, 60-day IL), Tyler O'Neill (concussion IL), Jackson Holliday (wrist rehab setback), and Zach Eflin (Tommy John surgery), straining their lineup and bullpen. Royals boast home-field edge and recent resilience despite offensive struggles, with Isaac Collins day-to-day (knee) but Cole Ragans rebounding from thumb issue; Kris Bubic and Michael Wacha loom for later games. Weather and late lineup tweaks could sway this competitive matchup.
