The San Francisco Giants arrive in Washington on a four-game losing streak, including an 8-3 defeat to Cincinnati, compounded by yesterday's placement of outfielders Harrison Bader (left hamstring strain) and Jared Oliva (left wrist hamate fracture) on the 10-day injured list, prompting call-ups of Will Brennan and Drew Gilbert for an outfield overhaul. Logan Webb (1-2, 5.25 ERA) takes the mound for the 6-11 Giants against Zack Littell (0-1, 4.20 ERA) for the 8-9 Nationals, who recently won 5-4 at Pittsburgh behind CJ Abrams' three-hit game including a homer. Nationals Park hosts with mild 70s temperatures and partly cloudy skies, favoring the home team's modest early-season edge over San Francisco's road woes and pitching inconsistencies.
