Tampa Bay Rays hold momentum heading into the series finale against the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field, following an 8-5 victory in Monday's opener where Shane McClanahan secured his first win since 2023 after Tommy John recovery, extending their four-game winning streak. The Rays (8-7, second in AL East) boast superior offense (.266 BA, 4.9 RPG) over Chicago's anemic attack (.191 BA, 3.1 RPG), while the White Sox (6-10, last in AL Central) endure a home losing streak amid bullpen woes. Both clubs manage relief corps injuries—Rays missing Garrett Cleavinger (calf, 15-day IL) and others; probable starters Steven Matz (Rays LHP) vs. Anthony Kay (White Sox LHP) set up a lefty duel, with cool Chicago weather potentially aiding pitchers.
