The Tampa Bay Rays carry momentum into the series finale against the host Chicago White Sox after securing decisive 8-5 and 8-3 victories on April 14-15, extending their winning streak to five games amid a 10-7 start that places them second in the AL East. Shane McClanahan's effective five-inning return fueled the first win, highlighting Rays' offensive surge, while the White Sox (6-11, last in AL Central) continue a home losing skid hampered by deeper injuries like catcher Kyle Teel sidelined. Both clubs face pitching woes—Rays without Ryan Pepiot and Joe Boyle (elbow), plus relievers; probable starters and bullpen depth loom large, alongside Chicago's Guaranteed Rate Field factors and early-season roster adjustments.
