Alexander Zverev captured the 2026 US Open men's singles title with a four-set victory over Ben Shelton in the final, completing a season that also included a French Open crown and strong showings at the other majors. This outcome has driven near-certain trader consensus around his win, reflecting verified results from the hard-court Grand Slam at Flushing Meadows. Casper Ruud's withdrawal from singles play due to a lingering back injury eliminated any realistic path for the Norwegian, who had previously reached multiple major finals but sat out the event entirely. Potential shifts in resolution could stem only from extraordinary post-event developments such as formal disqualifications or appeals, though none have materialized in official ATP or tournament communications.
