Dplus KIA holds a stronger position in LCK Split 2 standings at 6-4 (4th place) compared to Nongshim RedForce's 4-6 (7th), fueling trader consensus toward DK in this BO3 upper bracket round 1 of the Esports World Cup Korea Qualifier playoffs. Despite NS's upset 2-0 sweep over DK in early April LCK regular season play, Dplus boasts overwhelming historical dominance (23-5 head-to-head, 52-15 map score) and recent wins like two victories over T1 this year. Stable rosters feature DK's veteran midlaner ShowMaker, jungler Lucid, and bot duo Smash-Career against NS's aggressive style; current patch meta emphasizes early skirmishes and macro execution, where DK excels, though NS's momentum from recent sweeps could spark an upset if drafts falter. Winner advances to face Hanwha Life Esports.
