Trader consensus prices Moldova slightly ahead at 50.5% implied probability for this WTT Men's Singles matchup at the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026, reflecting a razor-thin contest driven by comparable ITTF rankings—England's Tom Jarvis (No. 66) or Connor Green (No. 173) versus Moldova's Vladislav Ursu (No. 92) or Andrei Putuntica (No. 207)—and parallel recent form. Moldova enters buoyant after a gritty 3-2 preliminary-round upset over Greece on May 2, with Ursu delivering a dominant 3-0 opener and Putuntica clinching the decider, boosting team momentum into the Round of 32 team tie against host England on May 4. England, auto-qualified from Stage 1A despite a 0-3 loss to Korea, relies on Jarvis' recent straight-sets victory over Sweden's Mattias Karlsson for confidence, though home-crowd energy at OVO Arena Wembley could swing dynamics. Lineup confirmation or any late withdrawals may shift the needle in this stylistic battle of aggressive left-handers and steady defenders.
