Both players are 18-year-old professionals competing on outdoor clay at the ITF W15 Kursumlijska Banja event, a low-level entry point on the women's tour with no prior head-to-head record between them. Eugenia Zozaya Menendez, from Spain, brings recent junior pedigree including a Wimbledon juniors singles round of 16 and a career-high ITF junior ranking of 71, while Mariana Isabel Higuita Barraza of Colombia holds a WTA singles ranking near 1054 with modest early pro results. The match marks an early professional test for each, where clay-court movement, consistency from the baseline, and adaptation to the slower surface will likely decide the outcome amid limited pro experience for both.
