This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the 2. Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of 2. Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of 2. Bundesliga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the 2. Bundesliga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026-27 2. Bundesliga runner-up market reflects broad parity among promotion contenders after Wolfsburg's relegation from the top flight. Several clubs entered with comparable resources, recent experience, and summer reinforcements, including Hannover 96, Hertha BSC, 1. FC Heidenheim, SV Darmstadt 98, and Holstein Kiel. Pre-season previews highlighted balanced squad depth across the division, limited standout favorites beyond Wolfsburg for the title, and uncertain early form following the August 7 kickoff. With only matchday 1 results available and no dominant mid-table separation yet, trader consensus prices the second-place outcome tightly, underscoring how transfers, head-to-head history, and schedule difficulty could shift any of these sides into contention.
