Shelton arrives in strong form after his Stuttgart title and recent singles win over Fonseca in Munich, while Cobolli brings Roland Garros finalist pedigree and solid doubles chemistry with the American. Altmaier/Fonseca, both primarily singles specialists, reached the round of 16 by defeating Quinn/Tien but lack comparable doubles experience or recent team results together. The matchup favors the higher-profile pairing on the fast grass surface, though the German-Brazilian duo could exploit any lapses in cohesion or exploit specific return weaknesses in a best-of-three set encounter.
