Dalton Eatherly, known online as Chud the Builder, remains in pre-trial proceedings on attempted murder and related felony charges stemming from a May 2026 courthouse shooting in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he allegedly fired at Joshua Fox during an altercation and claims self-defense. The case has advanced to grand jury review after bond proceedings, including a $1 million release in August 2026 under house arrest and GPS monitoring, but no trial date has been set. With the Polymarket resolution window closing July 31, 2027, traders assess the timeline for a full felony conviction as too compressed for standard Tennessee court processes, producing the 92% implied probability on “No.” Ongoing procedural steps and potential self-defense arguments further support the current consensus reflected in market pricing.
