Louanne Djafari and Eugenia Zozaya Menendez, both 18- and 19-year-old clay-court specialists, meet in the round of 16 at the ITF W15 Kursumlijska Banja in Serbia. Djafari, ranked outside the WTA top 1,400 in doubles with a 1-5 singles record this season, arrives with strong recent form after a 6-3, 6-0 first-round victory over Aleksandra Mateva. Zozaya Menendez, a Spanish junior with a career-high ITF junior ranking of 71 and Wimbledon juniors round-of-16 experience, opened with a 7-6(2), 6-4 win over Helena Stevic. The pair has no prior head-to-head meetings on record. Both players enter on the back of opening-round successes in a low-prize-money event on outdoor clay, where recent match fitness and adaptation to the slow surface typically shape outcomes in these early ITF rounds.
