Manuel Mazza enters the ITF M25 Grado round of 16 on clay holding a substantial ranking advantage over Matteo Sciahbasi, with Mazza competing regularly at Challenger level and posting recent wins including a straight-sets victory in the Grado main draw. Sciahbasi, ranked well outside the top 2000, has shown form in lower-tier ITF events but lacks comparable experience against established professionals on the surface. Both Italians face a first-time matchup with no prior head-to-head results, making recent match fitness, clay-court movement, and serve consistency the primary variables. Mazza’s deeper tournament schedule and higher-level results provide the clearest edge, though ITF outcomes remain sensitive to any late fitness issues or draw adjustments.
