The Washington Nationals hold the MLB lead in team home runs with 164 through early August, narrowly ahead of the New York Yankees at 156 and Houston Astros at 154, per official 2026 regular-season stats. This positioning aligns with trader consensus reflected in the tight implied probabilities across multiple contenders, as the remaining schedule offers ample opportunity for lineup adjustments, hot streaks from power hitters, and variance in offensive output. Recent form from key contributors, combined with home/away splits and injury recoveries, sustains the bunched market, where no single club has pulled away decisively heading into the stretch run.
