Vekic, with a 7-8 record in 2026, recently rallied for a three-set win over Ajla Tomljanovic in Charleston first round before falling to Madison Keys, showcasing resilience ahead of this matchup with no prior head-to-head. Monnet, 6-10 this year, advanced to Bogota quarterfinals on clay last week but lost to Katarzyna Kawa, highlighting her qualifier push but limited higher-tier success. No injury concerns reported; indoor conditions favor Vekic's power game on the surface.
