Trader consensus favors Carlos Alcaraz at 55.5% implied probability to repeat as Monte Carlo Masters champion, buoyed by his defending title, elite clay-court record including recent French Open success, and a draw avoiding early clashes with top rivals like Jannik Sinner, who trails at 40% after dominating the Sunshine Double but facing a clay transition. Both advanced convincingly in round-of-32 action—Alcaraz over Sebastian Baez 6-1 6-3, Sinner blanking Ugo Humbert on break points—amid Novak Djokovic's shoulder withdrawal opening the field. Alexander Zverev (7.5%) rallied past Cristian Garin for round of 16, while Tomas Martin Etcheverry (4%) surged with upsets over Grigor Dimitrov and Terence Atmane, testing Alcaraz today on slow Monte Carlo clay.
