Sydney's strong ladder position and home advantage at the SCG are offset by a depleted roster missing Brodie Grundy, James Rowbottom, Will Edwards, and Dane Rampe, while Port Adelaide's extensive injury toll—including Connor Rozee, Zak Butters, and multiple season-ending cases—leaves both sides reshuffled ahead of Round 22. The clubs' earlier close encounter and Port's recent resilience against stronger opposition have fostered trader consensus around even odds. Late changes such as Mitch Georgiades' withdrawal or the impact of Will Green's AFL debut could shift momentum, as could any further fitness updates or travel effects for the Power.
