Apple's confirmed September 9 "Surprise and Shine" event, the first under incoming CEO John Ternus, centers trader attention on the long-rumored foldable iPhone. Widespread supply-chain reports and analyst consensus from sources like Bloomberg's Mark Gurman point to a book-style design with roughly 5.5-inch outer and 7.8-inch inner displays, A20 Pro chip, titanium frame, and pricing above $2,000, expected alongside iPhone 18 Pro models. Near-even odds at 50.5% stem from unresolved questions around final manufacturing yields, potential last-minute scope changes, or whether Apple opts for a delayed ship date despite the announcement. The event itself, just days away, remains the decisive catalyst that could resolve the market.
