Matias Soto holds a significant edge over Mariano Kestelboim in their ATP Challenger Santa Cruz de la Sierra first-round clash on clay courts, driven by his higher ranking at No. 304 compared to Kestelboim's No. 624 and stronger recent form. The Chilean Soto advanced to the second round of last week's Mexico City Challenger, defeating Jay Clarke before a tight loss to Stefano Napolitano, while Argentine veteran Kestelboim has dropped his last four singles matches, including an early exit in Campinas qualifiers. With no prior head-to-head and both acclimated to South American clay, trader consensus favors Soto amid Kestelboim's singles struggles, though upsets remain possible in Challenger play. No injury concerns or withdrawals reported ahead of the April 14 matchup.
