Mena, ranked around No. 295 with veteran experience, advanced today via Juan Pablo Varillas' retirement at 7-5, 3-1, showcasing steady baseline play, while younger Aboian (No. 533) snapped a four-match skid with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 qualy rout of Thiago Cigarran, boosting his momentum on the favored surface.
