Latest National Weather Service and model guidance for Atlanta on August 30 project a high in the upper 80s, with partly sunny skies, light southeast winds, and a 30-40% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms. This pattern, driven by easterly flow and typical late-summer instability, favors the market-leading 88-89°F bin at 37.5% implied probability. Cloud cover and convective cooling can cap daytime heating below model maxima, while clearer intervals or delayed storms support the 86-87°F or 90-91°F outcomes. Historical averages near 87°F and recent model consistency reinforce trader focus on these narrow thresholds rather than extremes. Updated short-range runs and morning observations will refine probabilities ahead of resolution.
