Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Official observations from the Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) at Munich Airport station (EDDM) confirm the highest temperature on May 2 reached exactly 25°C around mid-afternoon, driving trader consensus to 100% implied probability for this outcome under a stable high-pressure ridge. Clear skies, light southerly winds, and strong solar insolation from overnight lows near 13°C enabled optimal radiative warming, aligning precisely with pre-event ECMWF and GFS model ensembles projecting peaks in the 24–26°C range. Evening METAR reports showing drops below 21°C amid typical diurnal cooling further solidify the measurement. Realistic challenges include rare data revisions from quality control or station sensor recalibration, though satellite imagery and redundant observations make this highly improbable; final DWD daily summary expected post-midnight.
