This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Comeback Player of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Zack Wheeler leads NL Comeback Player of the Year trader consensus at 75.5% implied probability after returning from thoracic outlet syndrome surgery performed last fall. The Phillies right-hander posted a 2.03 ERA through his first dozen starts with elite strikeout totals and command before settling near 3.23 ERA with 163 strikeouts across 24 starts. Analysts highlight the severity of his prior injury and vintage production as distinguishing factors over other candidates. Sandy Alcantara sits at 7.0% on the strength of his post-Tommy John workload exceeding 200 innings, though recent starts have elevated his ERA to 3.78. Lower-probability names such as Tanner Scott, Michael Harris II, and O'Neil Cruz reflect more modest rebounds or limited sample impact relative to Wheeler's established ace-level resurgence.
