Toronto Blue Jays hold a clearer edge in the AL East standings at 33-35 versus Boston's 27-38 or 27-39 mark, reflecting stronger overall roster health and recent results. Blue Jays pitching depth, including returns from earlier injuries, has stabilized their rotation, while Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet remains sidelined with a lat strain described as worse than initially expected. Recent April series results favored Toronto, including an 8-1 win that exposed Boston's thin bullpen and rotation inconsistencies under interim manager Chad Tracy. Upcoming three-game set at Fenway Park in mid-June adds home-field dynamics and divisional implications, with both clubs monitoring day-to-day injury reports for key position players like Daulton Varsho.
