This market will resolve to "No" if no data is available by September 18, 2026, 11:59 PM ET.**Early critic screenings for the upcoming Alan Ritchson-Owen Wilson action-comedy thriller "Runner" have produced a mixed but cautiously positive initial reception ahead of its September 11 theatrical release.** Reviews highlight Ritchson and Wilson’s strong on-screen chemistry, visceral stunt work, and the film’s throwback appeal as a PG-13 Angel Studios project, while noting familiar plotting and occasional tonal inconsistencies that could cap broader acclaim. Early Metacritic scores range from the low 50s to the 80s, reflecting divided takes on whether the high-stakes cartel-chase premise delivers consistent thrills. Traders are watching for additional reviews in the final days before wide release, as the Tomatometer will lock based on aggregated critic consensus once the film opens. Historical patterns for similar mid-budget action vehicles suggest scores in the 40-60% range are common unless strong word-of-mouth elevates audience and critic alignment.
