Pyfer’s second-round TKO of Israel Adesanya in March elevated the middleweight contender into title contention discussions, but the August 15 matchup with Caio Borralho fell through due to injury, leaving matchmaking fluid. Dricus du Plessis and Brendan Allen sit atop the market as the two highest-ranked available opponents with recent wins and stylistic appeal, while Nassourdine Imavov’s established contender status and Borralho’s prior booking create overlapping possibilities. Anthony Hernandez trails as a lower-ranked option. The narrow spread between the leaders reflects uncertainty over UFC’s preferred timeline and opponent availability, with multiple plausible paths keeping implied probabilities clustered.
