In the ongoing 2026 Virslīga season, roughly 145 matches completed out of 180, defensive consistency across the league has kept the race for the most clean sheets tightly contested among a broad group of sides. RFS leads with 15 clean sheets through 28 fixtures while conceding just 20 goals overall, followed closely by Auda with 12 and Riga FC with 11, reflecting their strong back lines and low concession rates. Mid-table teams such as BFC Daugavpils and SK Super Nova sit at eight apiece, and even lower-placed clubs retain realistic paths given the remaining schedule through early November. Recent results, including several low-scoring draws and shutouts among contenders, have reinforced this balance, with no single side establishing a decisive edge in shutout frequency. Trader consensus reflects the high variability still possible from form swings, fixture difficulty, and squad rotations over the final weeks.
