Recent high-end auction results, including a Jackson Pollock work exceeding $180 million in May 2026, have reinforced the extreme rarity of nine-figure sales, supporting trader consensus around the 69% implied probability for "No." The market has shown selective strength at the top but lacks confirmed lots with estimates or presale buzz capable of reaching $150 million in the remaining months, amid broader recalibration in collector spending and fewer trophy consignments. November evening sales at major houses represent the key upcoming catalyst that could shift momentum if multiple blue-chip modern works exceed expectations.
