Yankı Erel enters the Samsun Challenger first-round matchup as the clear favorite due to his superior ranking of 287—more than 390 spots ahead of Paul Inchauspe—and status as the No. 4 seed on home hard courts in Turkey. The 25-year-old left-hander achieved a career-high ranking on July 27 and brings stronger recent ATP-level experience, while the 22-year-old Frenchman Inchauspe (679) relies on a solid 2026 record and a straight-sets qualifying or opening win over Ergi Kırkın. Surface and draw position favor Erel, though Inchauspe’s height and recent form create realistic upset potential in what remains a heavily lopsided implied-probability contest.
