Josh Rock enters the New Zealand Darts Masters matchup against veteran Simon Whitlock as the clear favorite at 74.5% implied probability, driven by his strong 2026 form that includes a second European Tour title at the Austrian Darts Open and consistent deep runs in majors. The 26-year-old Northern Irishman maintains elite scoring averages and has shown resilience in high-pressure settings like the Premier League, while Whitlock, now 57, has struggled with early exits in recent PDC events including a first-round loss at the 2025/26 World Championship. Their limited head-to-head history and the significant gap in current ranking and momentum favor Rock’s aggressive style over the Australian’s experience, though Whitlock’s occasional high finishes could create upset opportunities in the shorter World Series format.
