Liverpool hold a narrow edge in this Carabao Cup third-round tie at Anfield, where their strong historical home record against Tottenham and greater squad depth underpin the 42.5% implied win probability. Both sides enter with extensive injury lists—Liverpool without Chiesa, Gomez, Ekitike, Bradley and Leoni, while Tottenham miss Maddison, Simons, Odobert, Kulusevski and others—limiting attacking options and increasing rotation risks. Liverpool’s early 2026-27 Premier League results show mixed form with draws against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest offset by a clean-sheet win at Ipswich, whereas Tottenham’s defensive vulnerabilities and recent results contribute to the 30% away-win and 27% draw pricing. The wisdom of crowds reflects these roster and venue factors in a matchup where upsets remain possible given the absences.
