In the Upper Austria Ladies Linz qualifying final on indoor clay, world No. 109 Tamara Korpatsch faces No. 153 Maria Timofeeva, both advancing via straight-sets wins in the first round—Korpatsch over Jule Niemeier (6-3, 6-2) and Timofeeva against Alina Charaeva. Korpatsch carries momentum from her February Ostrava final run, where she beat Diane Parry before falling to Katie Boulter, bolstering her strong clay record (65% career win rate), though she exited early at last week's Dubrovnik Open. Timofeeva holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge from their 2024 Miami qualifying clash on hard courts. No reported injuries; the shift to indoor clay favors baseline grinders, with Korpatsch's ranking and form implying trader focus on her consistency versus Timofeeva's upset potential.
