Laura Siegemund enters as the clear trader favorite against Petra Marcinko in the Miami Open first round, with market odds reflecting her veteran savvy on hard courts over the 20-year-old qualifier's raw potential. Siegemund, ranked No. 97, boasts a 5-3 record this season including a recent Indian Wells qualifier run, while Marcinko (No. 223) advanced through two Miami qualies but holds a 2-4 clay-hard skid lately. No injuries mar official reports for either, though Siegemund's 70% career first-round win rate in WTA events underscores her edge in high-pressure spots. Windy Miami conditions could amplify Marcinko's aggressive baseline game for an upset, but wisdom of crowds prices Siegemund at 75% implied probability.
