Kyle Schwarber leads MLB with 23 home runs through early June, outpacing Yordan Alvarez's 22 and establishing a narrow edge in the race. Alvarez maintains elite production with a .316 average and top-tier OPS, keeping him within striking distance as both players sustain strong power output over the first 60-plus games. Ben Rice and Munetaka Murakami sit at 18-20 home runs, while established sluggers like Rafael Devers, Matt Olson, and James Wood trail further behind amid typical variance in early-season volume. Trader consensus reflects Schwarber's recent surge, including becoming the first player to 20 home runs in May, alongside Alvarez's consistent contributions and the long remaining schedule that favors sustained pace over current gaps.
