Recent polls ahead of Quebec’s October 5 provincial election show the Parti Québécois maintaining a clear lead at around 30 percent, leaving the contest for second place between the Quebec Liberal Party and the Coalition Avenir Québec, which recent Léger surveys have placed in a virtual tie near 23 percent. New leaders Charles Milliard for the PLQ and Christine Fréchette for the CAQ have helped stabilize support among federalist voters, while vote consolidation away from Québec solidaire has narrowed gaps. The Parti Conservateur du Québec at 16 percent and other smaller parties remain further back in most projections, though regional strengths and undecided voters keep second-place positioning fluid. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing aligns with this polling pattern, where shifts in francophone or Montreal-area support could still alter the final order before election day.
