Silver prices near $66–67 per ounce face pressure from Federal Reserve policy expectations, as resilient U.S. labor data and Chair Kevin Warsh’s recent communications have lifted odds of additional rate hikes in 2026, supporting a stronger dollar and higher Treasury yields that weigh on non-yielding metals. Structural supply deficits projected at 46.3 million ounces for the year, alongside robust industrial demand from solar, EVs, and AI-related uses, provide a longer-term floor, yet short-term moves remain sensitive to inflation prints and Fed communications. The week of September 7 features potential volatility around upcoming economic releases and any further policy signals, with traders monitoring how rate-path revisions interact with the persistent physical market tightness.
