Stephen Bunting enters the World Series of Darts matchup as the clear favorite, with his PDC world ranking of ninth and extensive experience in televised majors underpinning the 68.5% implied probability. The English player has maintained solid form through the 2026 season, including nightly wins and high averages in the Premier League alongside consistent ProTour results that reflect his checkout efficiency and scoring power. Raymond Smith, an Australian competitor with strong domestic WDF results and recent nine-darter performances, lacks comparable exposure to elite PDC opposition and typically posts lower three-dart averages in international settings. The matchup dynamics favor Bunting's consistency under pressure against a regional standout stepping up in competition level, with no reported injuries or roster changes altering preparations for either side.
