Recent National Weather Service forecasts highlight a warming trend under building high pressure, with morning low clouds and fog across the Los Angeles basin clearing to sunny skies on September 23. This setup favors afternoon highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s at coastal stations like LAX and mid-to-upper 80s downtown, though persistent marine influence from southwest winds may cap the daily maximum near 78–81°F. Historical September averages near 76°F provide context, while model consensus shows minimal disagreement on this short-range outlook. Trader positioning on the 76–81°F range reflects these conditions and the narrow window before resolution, with limited scope for major forecast shifts.
