Current forecasts show a 60% chance of showers with only modest thunderstorm risk, creating balanced trader views on whether lightning protocols will trigger a suspension. FIFA guidelines require a 30-minute stoppage after any strike within eight to 10 miles, with the clock resetting on subsequent activity, while light rain rarely halts play unless field conditions deteriorate. Prior matches in the tournament have already produced weather delays at open-air venues, underscoring how localized storm cells can shift quickly. Evolving National Weather Service or AccuWeather updates on severe cells or heat indices, plus official pre-match assessments, remain the key variables that could tilt implied probabilities either direction before kickoff.
